FICA EE

FICA EE is a payroll abbreviation for the employee portion of Federal Insurance Contributions Act taxes, which fund Social Security and Medicare.

On a pay stub or payroll report, “EE” usually means employee. FICA EE therefore refers to the Social Security and Medicare taxes withheld from an employee’s wages. Employers also generally pay an employer share of these taxes and are responsible for reporting and depositing the amounts properly.
