Massachusetts PFML

Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave, or PFML, is a state program that provides eligible workers with paid leave for qualifying family and medical reasons.

Massachusetts PFML can apply to qualifying medical leave, bonding with a new child, caring for certain family members, and other covered situations. Employers may have contribution, notice, reporting, and leave-administration responsibilities. Because eligibility, benefit amounts, and contribution rules can change, employers should use current state guidance when administering leave.
