Workers Comp Calculator

Estimate your annual workers compensation premium from payroll, class code rate and experience mod. See cost per month and per employee.
Workers Comp Calculator

Workers compensation premiums are set on payroll, not headcount: your payroll divided by 100, multiplied by the rate for your class code, adjusted by your experience modifier. Enter the three numbers from your policy or quote to estimate the annual premium and what it works out to per employee. Businesses on a pay-as-you-go plan through payroll avoid the upfront deposit and the year-end audit adjustment.

Rates are set per class code and state. Typical ranges: office and clerical $0.10 to $0.40, restaurants $1.50 to $3.00, construction trades $5 to $15 per $100 of payroll. A mod of 1.00 is average; below 1.00 means a better than average claims history. Estimates only.
