Georgia Final Paycheck Law

Georgia final paycheck deadline for fired and resigning employees, with the statute and a calculator that returns the exact date your last check is due.
Georgia Final Paycheck Law

Georgia has no final paycheck statute, so the federal default applies: wages earned through the last day are due on the next regular payday whether the employee was fired or quit. That is the whole rule, but it is still a deadline, and a missed one is a wage claim. Pick the separation type, enter the last day and your next payday, and the calculator returns the latest date you can legally pay. Accrued PTO payout is a separate Georgia rule and is not included. Related: the Georgia minimum wage, the HR compliance risk check for the termination process, and the all-state calculator. Nearby: Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.
